This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee responsibilities for a designated portfolio of non-performing commercial/business mortgage loans across various locations.
• Assess loan accounting and prepare or validate calculations for legal demands.
• Handle incoming calls and correspondence from borrowers and internal teams.
• Evaluate property valuation reports, collateral property inspections, and operational information related to properties.
• Analyze commercial loan documents, borrower prerequisites, covenants, and compliance with those covenants.
• Examine performing loan reports to detect loans that may need to be transferred to special servicing.
• Track property tax and insurance status for the assigned collateral.
• Act as the primary contact and liaison with external special servicers.
• Manage requests and posting/disbursement instructions from external special servicers and Asset Managers.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of system data and reports.
• Collaborate with Company resources across various departments, including offshore teams.
• Review servicing agreements to clarify responsibilities, authorities, and deadlines.
• Manage invoicing and reports from third-party vendors.
• Assist Commercial Primary Servicing representatives with borrower outreach, market analysis, and investor inquiries.
• Fulfill required training, compliance, audit, and reporting activities.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
• Acknowledge and respond to requests from external special servicers within 24 hours.
• Provide daily updates on outstanding requests that exceed 24 hours.
• Process posting instructions within 24 hours.
• Handle invoices within three days of receipt.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in accounting calculations.
• Provide instructions to other departments while adhering to agreed servicing-level standards.
• Complete a minimum of 40 hours of annual Company training.
• At least 2 years of experience with defaulted commercial loans.
• Knowledge of commercial loan document provisions, including interest accrual, tax and insurance administration, and lender advances.
• Familiarity with commercial loan covenants and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of CRE income property operating documents, such as rent rolls and income statements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to meet detailed reporting requirements.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and Adobe applications.
• Experience with loan servicing applications like MSP, REALSynergy, Strategy, and Enterprise.
• Team-oriented skills to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
• Must successfully pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to starting employment.
• May need to meet client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing prerequisites, if applicable.
