Commercial Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Assist the commercial division in maximizing vertical site performance to boost revenue through all channels.

• Serve as the main operational authority for commercial processes across all verticals.

• Perform continuous competitor analysis, devise new commercial processes and agentic workflow concepts, and collaborate with product and marketing teams.

• Work alongside commercial leadership to establish, manage, and track BAU processes, KPIs, and OKRs.

• Utilize AI to improve internal software and tools, fostering effective and transparent processes within commercial operations.

• Recognize inefficiencies and bottlenecks in commercial operations and create structured solutions.

• Oversee the design and implementation of operational workflows that minimize manual effort while enhancing output quality and consistency within the commercial team.

• Create and manage playbooks and performance benchmarks for all commercial workflows.

• Collaborate with sales and commercial leadership on prioritizing operations and sequencing workflows.

• Lead the identification and assessment of automation opportunities within commercial operations.

• Manage and develop the complete lifecycle for commercial agents across all commercial operations.

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, and commercial relevance of all automated outputs.

• Refine agent performance post-deployment based on commercial data, stakeholder feedback, and operational indicators.

• Establish and supervise QA processes for all workflows within commercial operations.

• Generate, analyze, and present operational KPI reports to senior stakeholders.

• Monitor workflow and agent performance, providing actionable recommendations to commercial leadership.

• Act as the internal authority on AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Lovable, and others.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in commercial operations, revenue operations, or a comparable ops role, preferably in a digital media, affiliate, or multi-vertical online business.

• You have developed AI agents and deployed them into a live production environment; this is a fundamental requirement for this role, not merely an aspiration. If your experience is confined to using AI tools, prompting chatbots, or working within workflows created by others, this role may exceed your current capabilities.

• Proven, end-to-end responsibility for the agent development lifecycle, from identifying a commercial issue and drafting the workflow brief to designing the prompt structure, integrating tools, testing, deploying, and iterating post-launch. You were the creator, not the individual who commissioned or reviewed someone else's work.

• Familiarity with AI platforms and tools such as Claude, Lovable, n8n, or equivalent, including specific, named examples of what you built, its functionality, and how you assessed its performance.

• A history of designing and documenting operational processes, playbooks, and performance standards, detailing agent behavior expectations, what constitutes quality output, and areas requiring human review.

• Experience in establishing QA frameworks for AI-generated or automated outputs, setting performance benchmarks, monitoring for drift or failures, and adjusting agent behavior based on real-world outcomes.

• Comfortable managing and reporting on KPIs and OKRs, with experience in building automated reporting systems rather than manually extracting data.
