Commercial Manager – Steam Power Generators

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and present competitive service proposals focused on rotating equipment, particularly Generator services, which includes technical commentary, pricing strategy, and tender documentation.

• Conduct commercial risk assessments by evaluating Terms & Conditions, identifying contractual risks, and ensuring that these risks are mitigated and approved prior to submission.

• Work in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Finance teams to define scope, costs, and deal structure.

• Take ownership of the complete commercial process for each bid, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to GE Vernova's commercial policies.

• Oversee the project handover to the execution team following contract award.

• Utilize knowledge of the German power service market, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to inform proposal strategy and positioning.

• Articulate Generator service products to clients and negotiate commercial terms effectively.

• Contribute to GE Vernova’s mission of electrifying and decarbonizing energy systems as an individual contributor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in a commercial or technical setting.

• Extensive experience in Commercial Operations, Sales, or Tendering within the energy, power, or industrial sectors.

• Strong understanding of Generator products and services.

• Capability to manage the entire commercial proposal and contracting process, including risk assessment and review of Terms & Conditions.

• Proficiency in English.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: Proficiency in German, with the ability to conduct negotiations in German.

• Preferred: Familiarity with the German power service market and its key stakeholders.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Steam Turbine products and services.
