This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.
• Showcase your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.
• Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, which includes cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service apparatus.
• Communicate with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification.
• Seek guidance from the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while on-site.
• Efficiently install all parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner, adhering to company policies.
• Promote and suggest additional services offered by Smart Care to customers when appropriate.
• Generate precise and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
• Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory.
• Maintain productivity levels in line with company standards.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel as required.
• Preferred relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (e.g., EPA, CFESA).
• Preferred experience in commercial refrigeration and/or commercial cooking equipment repair.
• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• On-the-job training with access to on-demand technical support, as well as ongoing formal hands-on and classroom training at our National Training Kitchen.
• Professional CFESA certifications with opportunities for advancement.
