• Act as the main IT liaison for Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Commercial Operations.
• Create and sustain a long-term commercial technology roadmap that aligns with business growth and customer lifecycle strategies.
• Convert business goals into actionable technology initiatives with defined value, feasibility, and assessments of change impact.
• Lead the enablement and optimization of commercial systems throughout the lead-to-cash lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Marketing on tools for campaigns, lead management, scoring, and digital engagement platforms.
• Assist Sales with opportunity management, forecasting, account planning, territory/quota solutions, and CRM workflows.
• Serve as the functional owner of Salesforce, overseeing requirements, backlog prioritization, release planning, and user adoption.
• Manage Salesforce integrations with downstream platforms such as marketing automation, ERP, PSA, and delivery systems.
• Guide process design, documentation, and optimization for commercial workflows, including lead management, pipeline reviews, pricing, quoting, customer management, and handoff.
• Implement data governance practices that enhance reporting, forecasting, and visibility into commercial performance.
• Work with Analytics/BI teams to deliver dashboards and insights that enhance sales effectiveness and marketing ROI.
• Direct and provide guidance to architecture and development teams that support commercial technology platforms, setting priorities, ensuring alignment with standards, and overseeing the quality of technical delivery.
• Lead Commercial IT projects and ensure alignment among IT, Sales, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders.
• Manage communications with stakeholders, set expectations, and establish governance structures.
• Promote change management, training, and user adoption activities for newly implemented or enhanced commercial technologies.
• Offer daily guidance, coaching, and mentorship for 1-3 direct reports (business analysts/architects).
• Over 7 years of experience in IT Business Partnering, Commercial Systems, or equivalent roles in Sales, Marketing, or Commercial Operations.
• In-depth knowledge of the commercial technology ecosystem and lead-to-cash processes.
• Practical experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud is essential; familiarity with CPQ, Service Cloud, or Marketing integrations is a plus).
• Proven track record in translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales Leadership, Marketing, Finance, and IT.
• Preferred background in the CRO or healthcare sectors.
• Strong project management and communication capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in line management, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Experience managing architecture, development, or technical delivery teams, either directly or through matrix leadership.
• Understanding of downstream integrations with ERP, PSA, customer onboarding, and service delivery systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or a related field.
