This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and expand an independent commercial insurance advisory practice.
• Collaborate with business owners, entrepreneurs, and organizations to assess risks.
• Offer customized commercial insurance and risk management solutions.
• Engage in prospecting, networking, and establishing referral partnerships.
• Create and oversee a profitable and sustainable commercial insurance portfolio.
• Provide proactive, advice-driven services to enhance client loyalty and retention.
• Professionally represent Co-operators within the community.
• Distribute Co-operators products under the Co-operators brand as an independent contractor.
• Manage business activities, prioritize tasks, and oversee the sales pipeline.
• Consistently enhance expertise in commercial insurance, business risk, and market trends.
• A valid provincial general insurance license, or a commitment to obtain one.
• Compliance with ongoing licensing and continuing education requirements.
• Experience in commercial or personal lines insurance.
• Background in operating your own business.
• Experience in financial services, banking, B2B sales, account management, or business development.
• Proven experience in client-facing advisory or relationship-management roles.
• Ability to foster trusted relationships and translate them into sustainable business growth.
• Strong sales and business development orientation.
• Comfort in prospecting, networking, and seizing opportunities.
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and disciplined follow-through.
• Client-centric, advice-driven approach to assist businesses in managing risk.
• Resilience, accountability, and self-motivation are essential.
