This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and expand an independent commercial insurance advisory practice.
• Collaborate with business proprietors, entrepreneurs, and organizations to identify and understand their risks.
• Offer customized commercial insurance and risk management solutions.
• Engage in prospecting, networking, and developing referral partnerships in high-potential markets.
• Create a profitable and sustainable commercial insurance portfolio.
• Provide proactive, advisory-based service to enhance client loyalty and retention.
• Serve as a prominent and professional independent representative of Co-operators.
• Continuously enhance knowledge in commercial insurance, business risk, and market dynamics.
• Effectively manage time, priorities, and sales pipeline while striving to achieve business objectives.
• Distribute Co-operators products under the Co-operators brand as an independent contractor.
• Possess a valid provincial general insurance license (or be willing to obtain one).
• Fulfill ongoing licensing and continuing education obligations.
• Experience in either commercial or personal lines insurance.
• Proven track record of running your own business.
• Background in financial services, banking, B2B sales, account management, or business development.
• Experience in client-facing advisory or relationship management roles.
• Capability to build trusted relationships and transform them into sustainable business growth.
• Strong inclination toward sales and business development.
• Comfort in prospecting, networking, and creating opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and disciplined follow-through.
• Client-centric, advisory-based approach to assisting businesses in managing risk.
• Resilience, accountability, and self-motivation are essential.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining Co-operators' values, brand standards, and client-focused approach.
• Required to undergo comprehensive background, credit, and eligibility checks.
