
Commercial District Manager – Field Sales & Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Offer proactive leadership, motivation, and guidance to develop and enhance the designated Coats sales and service territory.
• Execute corporate commercial strategies aimed at increasing equipment and service revenue as well as profitability.
• Analyze revenue, profitability, CSR metrics, and district service metrics alongside technicians.
• Recruit, retain, train, develop, and hold technicians and team members accountable for their performance.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships while addressing issues at major accounts.
• Carry out field service management tasks, assess service crews, and evaluate technician performance.
• Engage in face-to-face sales and service interactions with end users and support distributors within the territory.
• Present Coats products and services effectively while conveying customer value.
• Travel up to 80% within the assigned region, including regular regional travel, overnight stays, and participation in company shows and conferences.
• Observe customer, market, and competitor activities while analyzing trends and competitive strategies.
• Work collaboratively with the internal product team to understand customer wants and needs.
• Manage administrative tasks related to the Service and Sales role.
• Develop and execute channel strategies through distribution partners and Coats service technicians.
• Oversee sales and service operations while identifying concerns and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
• Gain insights into customer operations to foster synergies and seamless collaboration.
• Comprehend and manage a profit and loss statement.
• Candidates must currently reside in Utah, Colorado, or New Mexico.
• Preference is given to applicants living within 75 miles of a major airport hub in Denver, Colorado, or Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth is essential.
• Strong skills in account management, relationship-building, time-management, and organization are required.
• Excellent presentation abilities, high energy, a self-starter attitude, a strong work ethic, and the capacity to inspire others.
• Ability to adapt and engage credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Preferred knowledge of on-site equipment installation and service; automotive aftermarket knowledge is a bonus.
• A Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of experience managing people in a relevant field, demonstrating positive employee relations and staff development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 to 2 years of experience managing in a shop or field environment, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to meet customer needs.
• Capability to read, understand, and interpret oral and written technical instructions and related materials.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to effectively use company software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor parts and labor sales.
• An excellent driving record and the ability to travel within the assigned territory as required.
• A valid driver's license is a must.
• Regular regional travel within the designated territory.
• Participation in national and regional shows and marketing conferences as required by the company.
