This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop effective capture strategies, cultivate strong executive-level relationships with customers, and provide unique, value-oriented solutions to nuclear utilities and other stakeholders.
• Spearhead and implement commercial strategies for high-value, intricate nuclear initiatives, including Super Uprates, power uprates, significant component replacements, plant modernizations, and life extensions.
• Manage the entire commercial lifecycle from identifying opportunities to contract signing and structured handover to the Project Director, ensuring disciplined execution and alignment with Westinghouse's goals.
• Define and communicate the economic value proposition for strategic plant enhancements, encompassing capacity increases, lifecycle value, and long-term cost considerations, in conjunction with technical and financial partners.
• Engage with customers early to influence technical concepts, commercial frameworks, and decision criteria prior to formal procurement phases.
• Direct cross-Business Unit commercial integration for strategic programs, ensuring cohesive value propositions across Engineered Solutions, Fuels, I&C, and Outage & Maintenance Services.
• Collaborate with our Global Markets team to consistently evaluate nuclear market trends, including uprate and Super Uprate market influences, customer priorities, competitive stance, and regulatory changes.
• Proactively position Westinghouse at the forefront of customer decision-making processes for uprates, Super Uprates, and other strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing plant performance.
• Establish and maintain trusted, executive-level connections with nuclear utilities, governmental bodies, and key industry players.
• Position Westinghouse as a strategic, long-term ally in supporting safe, reliable, and economically sustainable nuclear plant operations.
• Deliver clear and accurate sales forecasts, manage opportunity pipelines, and report proposal statuses to senior management.
• Ensure disciplined opportunity management within D365, maintaining compliance with internal governance, reporting, and approval protocols.
• Lead intricate commercial negotiations, working closely with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Risk, and Project teams.
• Structure commercially attractive agreements that balance customer value, risk management, and financial performance in accordance with corporate policies.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of Westinghouse services, technologies, and competitive offerings pertinent to strategic projects.
• Stay updated on engineering innovations and industry trends to ensure compliant, differentiated, and cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee proposal strategy and approval processes in collaboration with Proposal Management, including executive reviews and cross-functional alignment.
• Ensure proposals fulfill customer requirements while achieving Westinghouse's financial, risk, and strategic targets.
• Represent Westinghouse at industry forums, conferences, and customer gatherings.
• Enhance industry networks, influence market positioning, and bolster Westinghouse's reputation as a global leader in nuclear technology and services.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• More than 10 years of progressive experience in commercial leadership, sales, business development, or project management within the nuclear or energy sector.
• Demonstrated experience with large, complex, high-value nuclear projects, including power uprates, plant modernization, life extension, or significant modification environments.
• Proven success in securing complex, multi-million dollar contracts and strategic initiatives.
• Strong comprehension of nuclear power plant operations, safety culture, and regulatory frameworks.
• Advanced negotiation abilities and experience in structuring complex commercial agreements.
