Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Bridge’s commercial team and lead negotiations for intricate and strategic user and partner agreements.

• Provide guidance on commercial and legal matters related to stablecoin products, new product launches, and global expansion.

• Collaborate with Product Legal and Bridge’s product and engineering teams to introduce new products and features to the market.

• Establish Bridge’s commercial legal framework, which includes drafting and maintaining agreements and playbooks, enhancing internal processes, and leveraging AI tools.

• Work in partnership with commercial, operations, product, engineering, tax, compliance, and risk teams across Bridge and Stripe on a global scale.

• Deliver practical and scalable legal support throughout the global Commercial Legal team.

• Create and provide training and resources for Bridge’s commercial team.

• Act as a point of escalation for external counsel.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, characterized by clarity and conciseness.

• Ability to collaborate across functions and foster win-win solutions.

• Understanding of legal issues and commercial risks associated with fintech, stablecoin, hosted data, and technology services.

• Active membership in at least one US state bar.

• JD degree or an equivalent foreign qualification.

• Over 8 years of pertinent experience, either in-house or within a technology practice group at a prestigious law firm.

• Preferred: experience in payments, fintech, crypto, or stablecoin sectors and related regulatory challenges.

• Preferred: in-house experience providing counsel to high-growth companies.

• Preferred: practical knowledge of LLM tools.

• Preferred: background in enhancing legal processes using AI technology.

• Preferred: familiarity with CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA regulations.
