Commercial Contract Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Methodically assess incoming sponsorship contracts from brands, pinpointing operational risks, structural deficiencies, and terms that necessitate direct modification.

• Create protective agreements for creators using established agency templates, continuously refining these internal standard operating procedures to enhance the legal administration process.

• Collaborate and address revisions directly with corporate brand legal teams and talent managers, ensuring the protection of creator asset usage and performance liabilities.

• Ensure real-time accuracy in records within the Airtable deal pipeline, safeguarding all moving elements against omissions.

• Oversee a high-volume, collaborative email system, strictly adhering to a 24-hour response time for all newly drafted documents and incoming feedback.

• Identify incoming legal friction points, conducting template-driven negotiations autonomously while efficiently escalating any new or complex legal issues to the Chief Executive Officer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record of reviewing, redlining, and drafting commercial agreements (handling a high volume of 40+ contracts per month is particularly beneficial).

• Completion of paralegal certification, formal legal education, or equivalent practical experience in corporate contract management (a formal law degree or admission is not required).

• Exceptional written English skills with the ability to create precise redline commentary and highly polished, professional executive communications.

• Strong technical aptitude with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new cloud-based software platforms and productivity tools without extensive manual training.
