Commercial Appliance Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• The Service Technician is tasked with responding to customer work orders assigned by their service manager.

• This role involves traveling to customer locations to identify and resolve issues as necessary.

• The technician will receive a van, a company fuel card, a credit card, a phone, and an iPad.

• All work orders are sent electronically via the phone/iPad the afternoon prior.

• The technician is expected to quickly review these work orders to be informed of their schedule for the following day.

• The Service Technician is required to take their vehicle home each night.

• The company vehicle is designated for work purposes ONLY, unless authorized by the T&J Service Manager in advance.

• All vehicles are GPS monitored for both location tracking and assessment of safe driving practices.

• The Service Technician will communicate via phone with their manager based in Albany.

• The service manager is consistently available to support the technician with any questions or concerns.

• The Service Technician must adhere to all company policies and procedures, both internally and externally.

⛳️ Requirements

• A clean driving record is required.

• Candidates must be willing to drive up to 2 hours (one way) for service calls.

• Strong communication and troubleshooting abilities are essential, as the supervisor will be remote at our main office.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills are required.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing TurboChef, Merry Chef, Bunn, Mastrena, Hatco, Clover Vertica, Franke, or similar equipment is preferred.

• Familiarity with the Facility Services industry is advantageous.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Candidates are required to pass a drug test and background check before commencing work.
