This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Report to an Area Sales Manager while managing a comprehensive portfolio of mid-market businesses, encompassing both new prospects and existing accounts.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle for prospects, from initial discovery and solution alignment to negotiation and closure.
• Assist GitLab prospects by effectively communicating our DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it with customer business outcomes.
• Evaluate wins and losses, contribute to root cause analyses, and share learned lessons with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of buying criteria, processes, next steps, and owners to ensure a reliable, evidence-based pipeline.
• Aid in enhancing our sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership and direction for accounts throughout pre- and post-sales, collaborating closely with technical teams and customer success.
• Serve as the voice of the customer by providing product feedback and suggestions to our public issue tracker.
• Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably in a commercial sales environment, managing a diverse portfolio of business.
• Capability to guide customers through the complete buying journey, including defining buying criteria, mapping processes, and facilitating clear next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
• Proven experience in documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on factual evidence rather than assumptions.
• Proficiency in conducting win/loss analyses and root cause evaluations, sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
• Expertise in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to successfully close opportunities.
• Interest in GitLab, open-source software, and ideally familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
• Alignment with GitLab's values and a desire to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds, with a willingness to travel in accordance with company policy.
• Fluency in Swedish or Danish.
