Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct outbound phone calls in a professional and efficient manner.

• Inform consumers about overdue accounts via telephone to encourage payment.

• Accept payments over the phone for customer accounts.

• Oversee and follow up on designated collection accounts.

• Accurately document call details and outcomes in a clear and concise manner.

• Recognize situations that necessitate transferring calls or escalating issues to a senior advisor, supervisor, or manager.

• Carry out tasks, calls, and interactions in a professional manner while adhering to company policies and government regulations.

• Uphold and promote the company's mission and values.

• Assist with special projects as needed.

• Engage in relevant meetings or events.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication abilities.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Skill in managing disgruntled callers in a professional, effective, and tactful manner.

• Strong data entry capabilities.

• Resourcefulness and independence to utilize resources, solve problems, and complete tasks efficiently.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.

• Previous collection experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

• ACA certification is an advantage but not required.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States both now and in the future.

• This role does not provide current or future visa sponsorship.

• Availability to work the 1pm–9pm CST shift is required.
