• Engage with customers to effectively negotiate and collect payments on overdue, defaulted, or written-off loans, as well as other payments.

• Serve as the intermediary between creditors and customers by managing overdue accounts.

• Assist customers in exploring payment options for debt recovery.

• Implement collection strategies, including negotiating payment plans in accordance with established guidelines.

• Foster a positive relationship with various customers over the phone to maintain loyalty while initiating payment collection processes.

• Conduct both inbound and outbound calls to collect debts.

• Meet predetermined revenue targets and call quality standards.

• Utilize questioning and listening abilities to facilitate effective communication.

• Comprehend, adhere to, and enforce all corporate policies, including Advance America’s Creed, Code of Ethics, and Information Security Policies.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• At least one year of experience in a call center or customer service role.

• Preferred: Three years of collections experience in a high-volume call center and/or bilingual in Spanish.

• Strong critical thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in a fast-paced work environment is an advantage.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.

• Proficient in reading, writing, evaluating, and applying information.

• Capability to interact professionally and demonstrate appropriate social skills.

• Understanding and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and laws relevant to our industry/business and products.
