This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Guarantees the precision, efficiency, and optimal financial return of Dayton Children's professional billing claims for reimbursement.
• Maintains billing compliance by staying informed about CPT and ICD-10 coding standards, along with Medicare/Medicaid billing rules and regulations.
• Acts as a professional coding resource for both providers and staff.
• Manages a variety of work queues to ensure accurate professional fee coding compliance.
• Collaborates directly with multiple providers to ensure adherence to compliant coding guidelines.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least one of the following credentials is required: CCS Certified Coding Specialist, RHIA Registered Health Information Administrator, RHIT Registered Health Information Technician, CPC Certified Professional Coder, CCS-P Certified Coding Specialist Physician Based.
• A minimum of one year of experience in patient financial services or healthcare coding or billing is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are preferred.
• Ability to interact tactfully with patients, staff, and interdepartmental clients is preferred.
