This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Co-lead the engineering practice alongside firm leadership, establishing technical strategy, staffing, and standards across mechanical, electrical, and energy disciplines.
• Function as a vested co-owner — responsible for the practice's profitability, growth, and long-term enterprise value, while being personally committed to Oakwell's reputation and team.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop senior engineers and discipline leads, fostering succession planning and enhancing the firm's technical expertise.
• Act as the senior technical relationship owner for Oakwell's major hospital and university clients, directly engaging with C-suite and facilities leadership.
• Develop multi-decade infrastructure-renewal and decarbonization strategies that align with each owner's mission, financial limitations, and campus master plan.
• Represent Oakwell in high-stakes pursuits, presentations, and negotiations, transforming senior relationships into enduring partnerships.
• Oversee the firm's QA/QC program, ensuring that reports, drawings, specifications, and analyses adhere to Oakwell's elevated technical standards prior to issuance.
• Establish and uphold the MEP building and sustainability standards utilized across client engagements.
• Provide senior technical review and final engineering judgment on the firm's most intricate and highest-risk projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Over 20 years of progressive engineering experience, with substantial exposure to hospital and/or university clients.
• Established, senior-level relationships with current healthcare and/or higher-education clients.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Proven experience in leading other leaders and managing an engineering team, practice, or firm.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to become a vested co-owner of the business.
