Co-Founding CEO – Metabolic & Inflammation Therapies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the company's strategic vision, ensuring alignment between scientific, operational, and business objectives.

• Spearhead seed and Series A fundraising efforts, utilizing networks and partnerships to obtain capital and strategic alliances.

• Select and prioritize indication strategies, including DKD, obesity, atherosclerosis, or MASH, based on opportunity, patient needs, and associated risks.

• Supervise the transition from preclinical development to IND submission and subsequent clinical development.

• Build and lead the team as the company evolves.

• Work closely with Professor Ann Marie Schmidt and advisors to merge scientific excellence with commercial strategy.

• Act as the representative of the venture to investors, partners, and the scientific community.

• Oversee all facets of the venture's growth, from strategic planning to advancing programs into clinical trials.

• Demonstrated experience as a leader in biotech or life sciences, particularly in early-stage ventures.

• Proven success in fundraising endeavors.

• Strong scientific and strategic insight into metabolic diseases, such as diabetes, kidney disease, or obesity, or similar fields.

• Experience in guiding programs through preclinical and regulatory development towards clinical application.

• Ability to distill complex scientific concepts into a coherent, fundable business plan.

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities with investors, advisors, and various stakeholders.

• Hands-on and adaptable leadership style suitable for fast-paced startup environments.

• Integrity, credibility, and a collaborative approach.

• Immediate availability preferred, with a latest start date in Q4 2026.
