Cloud Support Engineer – AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for cloud platform support in a multi-cloud environment.

• Assist, configure, and troubleshoot infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenStack.

• Provide support for containerized workloads operating on Kubernetes.

• Aid in CI/CD pipelines, Java application stacks, and Linux-based systems.

• Identify and resolve intricate cloud, network, and access issues with minimal escalation.

• Engage in on-call pager duty and respond promptly to incidents.

• Configure and enhance cloud resources, including VPC, IAM, and Auto Scaling.

• Provision infrastructure and manage modifications using Terraform.

• Deploy Kubernetes applications utilizing Helm charts.

• Monitor and support enterprise-scale SaaS and PaaS infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience in cloud support, cloud operations, or platform engineering.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• AWS experience is essential, with over 2 years of hands-on production experience.

• Strong knowledge of IAM, VPC networking, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, and Backup.

• Familiarity with AWS multi-account architecture and governance.

• Working knowledge of GCP, Azure, or OpenStack, along with at least one other platform.

• Solid understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Experience in configuring and optimizing VPC, IAM, and Auto Scaling resources.

• Over 2 years of hands-on Kubernetes production experience.

• Experience with Docker and VM-based workload management.

• Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and change management.

• Utilize Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployment.

• More than 2 years of CI/CD pipeline experience with Git-based workflows and automation tools.

• Familiarity with Rundeck.

• Experience in Grafana monitoring and observability.

• Knowledge of JIRA for incident and change tracking.

• Over 2 years of supporting Java application stacks: Tomcat, JBoss, and MySQL.

• More than 3 years of Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience.

• Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, and/or Zsh.

• Practical experience in implementing security configurations, access controls, and IAM best practices.

• Familiarity with cloud security standards and governance frameworks.

• More than 1 year of experience in on-call pager duty.

• Comfortable managing incidents outside of business hours.
