Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Implement and uphold security measures within AWS, including identity and access management, networking, encryption, key management, and logging.

• Manage and enhance infrastructure security tools, covering monitoring, vulnerability management, network protection, firewalls, and WAF solutions like Cloudflare.

• Analyze and assess security alerts, execute the established response protocols, and escalate critical issues or those needing cross-functional collaboration.

• Identify vulnerabilities, monitor their remediation, perform hardening adjustments, and suggest corrective actions based on defined risks and priorities.

• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and Development teams to integrate security across clusters, pipelines, and automation processes.

• Conduct security assessments and questionnaires, collect evidence, and engage in audits, detailing the technical controls under your oversight.

• Document configurations, procedures, and solutions, sharing best practices with involved teams.

• Enhance the security of cloud environments, ensuring they are robust, compliant, and secure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with AWS infrastructure, particularly in implementing or managing security controls.

• Proficiency in IAM, networking, encryption, KMS, and security logging.

• Experience utilizing cloud or infrastructure security tools, including alert analysis and issue investigation.

• Understanding of infrastructure and systems security, encompassing hardening and vulnerability remediation.

• Capability to investigate issues, propose solutions, and independently steer technical activities while knowing when to engage other stakeholders.

• Familiarity with security standards related to ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2, including control documentation and evidence collection.

• Nice to have: previous experience working alongside Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or Development teams.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Kubernetes and container security.

• Nice to have: involvement in audits, customer assessments, or preparation of security evidence.

• Nice to have: cloud or information security certifications.

• Nice to have: experience in fintech, SaaS companies, or regulated environments.

• Nice to have: proficiency in English for meetings and documentation.
