Cloud Platform Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +25 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and operationalize applications and solutions powered by AI.

• Develop, manage, and administer cloud infrastructure as code utilizing AWS or Azure.

• Review reported vulnerabilities in cloud components and remediate within the service level agreement (SLA).

• Adhere to audit standards, controls, and processes to monitor and enhance cloud infrastructure.

• Stay updated on cloud products, technologies, and best practices.

• Implement code-based continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) plans for both new and existing infrastructure.

• Create AI-driven solutions utilizing Large Language Models, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.

• Write production-quality code accompanied by appropriate tests and documentation.

• Advance prototypes towards the deployment and support of production AI capabilities.

• Collaborate with teams on enhancements and software migrations.

• Communicate with Development, Network, and Security teams to incorporate requirements into environment build plans.

• Develop and sustain capacity plans for cloud-based deployments.

• Design, create, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics, under the guidance of the lead architect.

• Deliver continuous integration and delivery pipelines along with DevSecOps standards and tools.

• Empower development teams to execute builds, conduct tests, and deploy automatically.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience gained through applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skills, or completion of a Centene-sponsored emerging talent program.

• 0–2 years of experience with Python through coursework, internships, research, professional work, or personal projects.

• Familiarity with APIs, data structures, algorithms, databases, and version control.

• Understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Model platforms and APIs.

• Experience in building at least one AI/ML application or project through coursework, internships, hackathons, research, or independent development/open-source contributions.

• Experience with integrating AI models and services into applications via REST APIs, SDKs, and microservices.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub or GitLab.
