Cloud Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Extensive expertise and practical experience with leading cloud platforms, including Azure, OCI, and GCP.

• Thorough understanding of cloud security best practices and the ability to implement protective measures within cloud networks.

• Profound knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, and OSPF.

• Solid grasp of Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and subnets to fulfill the organization's performance and security needs.

• Proficient in software-defined networking (SDN) and concepts of virtual networking.

• Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) in cloud environments.

• Experience in installing various network devices and services (for example, routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).

• Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations for third-party network devices in cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with existing network administrators and engineers to manage, deploy, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, VPN concentrators, and Network Access Control in cloud platforms.

• Oversee performance and guarantee system availability and reliability.

• Track system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.

• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with the capability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least seven (7) years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with four (4) or more years of relevant experience.

• Strong proficiency in working with Terraform.

• Experience in deploying AWS Security groups using Terraform is essential.

• Familiarity with cloud or on-premise devices, such as Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.

• Technical knowledge of TCP/IP networks and standards (IEEE 802.1).

• Must have hands-on experience with EKS Cluster.

• Working understanding of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).

• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls is required.

• Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IPsec (AES 256), Firewall, IPS, route-maps, and NACLs.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP network technologies, including DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NAT, and SSL.

• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation is mandatory for this position.
