Cloud Infrastructure Consultant – OpenShift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience.

• Act as a subject matter expert on-site, addressing various technical, developmental, and strategic IT needs.

• Acquire new technologies and apply them effectively to meet customer requirements.

• Adjust to evolving customer demands and expectations.

• Oversee problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of intricate open source solutions.

• Professionally respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions.

• Deliver high-quality results both on-site and post-engagement, meeting deadlines and staying within project scope.

• Prepare project journals, status reports, and other essential documentation.

• Provide insights on best practices in automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups.

• Lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat technology.

• Comprehend customer infrastructures and business challenges to make suitable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in a consulting role.

• Strong customer-facing skills; capable of presenting to customers and leading interactions.

• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies at a delivery level.

• Experience in implementing container technologies within an enterprise context and across enterprise-wide deployments.

• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or Ansible Automation Platform.

• Experience in onboarding applications and application teams onto cloud or container platforms, including the introduction of DevOps, continuous delivery (CD), and application lifecycle management.

• Understanding of the open source community.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and planning capabilities.

• Willingness to travel throughout the region.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.

• Red Hat Certifications are a valuable asset.
