Cloud Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, implementation, and upkeep of cloud infrastructure and services.

• Ensure the cloud environments are highly available, reliable, and scalable.

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for cloud security.

• Enhance cloud performance and cost efficiency through ongoing monitoring and improvements.

• Create and manage automation scripts for the deployment, management, and scaling of cloud resources.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions effectively.

• Design and implement strategies for disaster recovery and backup.

• Maintain thorough documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

• Troubleshoot intricate issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.

• Lead cloud projects from initiation to completion.

• Mentor and support junior cloud engineers.

• Carry out other assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is mandatory.

• A relevant certification in one of the major cloud platforms is required; this certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.

• A minimum of 7 years of industry experience is required, preferably in large enterprise settings.

• Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, automation tools, and security best practices.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

• A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
