Cloud Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance a cloud platform with an emphasis on AWS.

• Create and manage Infrastructure-as-Code environments, especially utilizing Terraform.

• Automate workflows using Python, Go, Bash, and AWS-native services.

• Architect, operate, and refine CI/CD pipelines, including those built with GitHub Actions, for both applications and infrastructure components.

• Build self-service tools for development teams and assist with their operational implementation.

• Develop solutions for monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.

• Recognize opportunities for enhancement and advance the cloud platform through innovative technologies and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside primarily in Germany.

• Proven experience in building, managing, and automating cloud infrastructures, preferably on AWS.

• Comprehension of the core principles of contemporary cloud architectures.

• Proficient with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.

• Skilled in automation and scripting with languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.

• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and deployment automation, like GitHub Actions or similar pipelines.

• Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts, including IAM, networking, and the principle of least privilege.

• Foundational understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.

• Capable of gathering stakeholder requirements and converting them into effective technical solutions.

• Ability to work autonomously and proactively, communicate effectively, and collaborate constructively across teams.

• Ideally, familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
