Cloud Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and optimize a cloud platform centered on AWS to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient operations.

• Build and sustain Infrastructure-as-Code environments utilizing tools like Terraform.

• Streamline workflows through automation using Python, Go, Bash, and AWS-native services.

• Architect, manage, and refine CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Develop self-service solutions enabling development teams to independently and securely provision and utilize cloud resources.

• Offer operational support to development teams as necessary.

• Design and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems.

• Recognize areas for improvement and share innovative ideas to advance the cloud platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must currently reside in Germany.

• Proven experience in building, operating, and automating cloud infrastructures, preferably on AWS.

• Knowledge of contemporary cloud architecture principles.

• Acquainted with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.

• Proficient in automation and scripting using Python, Go, or Bash.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and deployment automation, such as GitHub Actions.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, networking, and the principle of least privilege.

• Comprehension of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability basics.

• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and communicate effectively and constructively across teams.

• Agile experience, particularly with Scrum or Kanban, is preferred.
