Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provision and manage VAEC environments, OpenShift clusters, and RHEL hosts

• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines

• Execute cloud migrations, disaster recovery plans, and capacity planning strategies

• Oversee cloud networking, firewall configurations, IAM, and monitoring systems

• Develop architecture, data-flow, and cloud security documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

• At least 5 years of experience working with AWS or Azure

• Over 3 years of experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes

• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code methodologies using Terraform and Ansible

• Experience with CI/CD practices

• RHEL administration expertise

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, or Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer

• Red Hat Certified Specialist or Architect in OpenShift certification

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux certification

• Must be eligible to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust

• Must be eligible to secure a VA PIV credential

• Preferred: Experience with VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) or AWS GovCloud

• Preferred: Background in cloud migration, disaster recovery, and capacity planning

• Preferred: Knowledge in cloud networking, firewall configurations, and IAM
