Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provision and manage VAEC environments, OpenShift clusters, and RHEL hosts

• Automate infrastructure and deployments utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines

• Perform cloud migrations, disaster recovery, and capacity planning

• Oversee cloud networking, firewall configurations, IAM, and monitoring

• Generate architecture, data-flow, and cloud security documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience

• 5+ years working with AWS or Azure

• 3+ years of expertise in OpenShift or Kubernetes

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices

• RHEL administration experience

• Preferred: experience with VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) or AWS GovCloud

• Preferred: skills in cloud migration, disaster recovery, and capacity planning

• Preferred: knowledge of cloud networking, firewall rules, and IAM

• Bachelor's degree required

• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, or Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer

• Red Hat Certified Specialist or Architect in OpenShift certification

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux certification

• Must be eligible to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust

• Must be eligible to acquire a VA PIV credential
