Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Provision, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance cloud platforms.

• Analyze system errors and establish corrective measures.

• Ensure secure infrastructure, production stability, and optimal performance.

• Implement approved changes effectively.

• Conduct rehearsals and testing for disaster recovery.

• Troubleshoot network and performance-related issues.

• Manage network ACLs and routing configurations.

• Clean up snapshots and resize virtual machines as necessary.

• Track and update cloud services that are reaching end-of-life.

• Work with Azure Backup and Site Recovery solutions.

• Perform health checks and decommission resources when needed.

• Address vulnerabilities and manage the non-OS cloud security posture.

• Respond to alerts and incidents generated by monitoring tools.

• Monitor Azure resources utilizing Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

• Review and revise security configurations to ensure compliance with best practices.

• Monitor and react to security incidents as they arise.

• Write and maintain automation scripts employing PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience with Azure Microsoft Cloud.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential.

• Proven experience in Cloud Infrastructure (networking, security, compute, storage, databases, and Kubernetes) on Azure.

• Understanding of Terraform and Azure DevOps methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) infrastructure.

• Experience in Azure Administration is required.

• Proficiency in PowerShell and Azure APIs is necessary.

• Familiarity with Azure management and control plane components, including networking, access management, RBAC, and security policies.

• Experience with Cloud IaaS and PaaS environments.

• Skills in architecture, implementation, and support are vital.

• Experience with cloud monitoring and backup solutions is preferred.

• Exposure to large-scale production environments is advantageous.

• Certification in Azure, Networking, Kubernetes, and Operating Systems is required.
