Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, set up, implement, and maintain secure and scalable Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure along with client environments.

• Triage, assess, respond to, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated issues related to infrastructure, systems, and applications.

• Lead the migration and implementation processes from on-premises environments to Azure cloud services.

• Execute code builds while automating deployments, testing, and monitoring activities.

• Continuously enhance CI/CD pipelines for improved efficiency, reliability, and security.

• Utilize Terraform, Python, and various automation tools to provision, manage, and optimize infrastructure.

• Implement strategies that enhance the stability, resiliency, and security of the cloud environment.

• Strengthen device and network configurations following industry best practices.

• Develop project plans, charters, and detailed work breakdown structures.

• Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope, accompanied by documented outcomes and lessons learned.

• Provide expert technical support to internal teams and clients.

• Offer exceptional customer service while articulating complex technical concepts in a clear manner.

• Document technical processes, configurations, root cause analyses, and project specifics.

• Contribute to knowledge bases and internal training materials.

• Remain updated on cloud technologies, security practices, and industry trends.

• Seek professional certifications and development opportunities.

• Mentor colleagues and share expertise with peers.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in Technology, IT Engineering, or equivalent work experience and certifications.

• Over 10 years of engineering experience.

• More than 6 years of experience with Microsoft or AWS.

• At least 8 years of experience in project design and implementation.

• Proficient in 2–3 technology products or services at a subject matter expert level.

• Familiarity with O365 Suite, Azure, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, AWS, Python, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, GitHub, GitLab, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.

• Ability to correlate data and information between clients and alerts.

• Highly organized with a strong commitment to processes for multi-step projects.

• Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical clients, as well as internal team members.
