Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Implement, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.

• Oversee cloud computing, networking, storage, and identity services.

• Administer Linux systems, focusing on service management, permissions, patching, hardening, and troubleshooting.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management through Terraform and Ansible.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

• Configure and maintain Kubernetes networking and storage components, including CNI, CSI, and Ingress.

• Implement and uphold monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and recovery solutions.

• Ensure infrastructure security through IAM/RBAC, secrets management, and adherence to security best practices.

• Support CI/CD processes and automation using Git, Bash, Python, and GitLab CI/CD.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and platform issues to ensure system reliability and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in implementing and operating cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud services encompassing compute, networking, storage, and identity management.

• Strong skills in Linux system administration, including patching, hardening, permissions, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and managing configurations with Ansible.

• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

• Solid understanding of networking and connectivity concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, TLS, and SSH.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and recovery solutions.

• Knowledge of IAM/RBAC, secrets management, and infrastructure security practices.

• Proficiency in Git, Bash, Python, and GitLab CI/CD.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Experience with STACKIT cloud services.

• Experience in managing Kubernetes networking and storage components, particularly CNI, CSI, and Ingress.

• Proficiency in Spanish.

• Background in cloud infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and cloud security best practices.
