Cloud DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines alongside deployment automation.

• Implement and oversee Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.

• Collaborate with AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures.

• Provide support for containerized environments utilizing Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.

• Engage with messaging platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Solace.

• Assist with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio and Kong.

• Create automation scripts using Python and/or Bash.

• Facilitate monitoring, observability, and traceability with tools like Dynatrace.

• Diagnose infrastructure, deployment, and application challenges while promoting continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, particularly AWS Lambda.

• Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation methodologies.

• Practical experience with Docker and ECS; Kubernetes experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of event-driven messaging systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, and/or Solace.

• Understanding of Service Mesh technologies such as Istio and/or Kong.

• Strong skills in Python and/or Bash scripting.

• Experience with Dynatrace or similar tools for observability and traceability.

• Excellent troubleshooting, automation, and cloud platform engineering capabilities.

• Background as a Cloud DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.

• Must possess legal eligibility to work in Canada.
