Cloud Delivery Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Execute migrations from AWS/Azure to GCP, transitioning production platforms in waves with carefully managed cutovers.

• Design and establish cloud foundations/landing zones, encompassing resource hierarchy, IAM, Organization Policies, network architecture, and security measures codified in Terraform.

• Create and implement production Kubernetes environments on GKE, including private clusters, Workload Identity, Helm add-ons, ingress, and Cloud Armor.

• Facilitate DevOps/IaC by incorporating hand-crafted environments into Terraform, developing reusable modules, setting up GitHub Actions with Workload Identity Federation, and utilizing Argo CD.

• Manage approved, scoped, fixed-budget projects from start to finish, including detailed design, implementation, validation, and seamless handover.

• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while engaging directly with customers in weekly meetings.

• Maintain current boards and hours, safeguard project scope through change management, identify budget discrepancies promptly, and finalize handover with documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.

• Presales responsibilities are handled by Customer Engineers; this position focuses on execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior / Architect level experience.

• Over 5 years of hands-on cloud infrastructure expertise.

• Extensive, hands-on production architecture experience specifically on Google Cloud; not acquiring knowledge on the job.

• Proficiency in Terraform, including modular reusable code, remote state management, and importing hand-crafted environments.

• Customer-facing English proficiency for conducting workshops, weekly meetings, and handovers with customer engineers and CTOs.

• Experience with production Kubernetes / GKE, covering private clusters, node pools, autoscaling, RBAC, Workload Identity, Helm, and ingress.

• Networking and security skills, including VPC design, Cloud NAT/DNS/VPN, Private Service Connect, firewall policies, IAM, Organization Policies, and Secret Manager.

• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent tools, keyless authentication to GCP, container workflows, and GitOps utilizing Argo CD or similar methodologies.

• Basic knowledge of AWS or Azure and the ability to interpret source environments being migrated.

• Daily proficiency in using AI tools with discernment regarding what to accept, reject, and the rationale behind those decisions.
