This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Execute migrations from AWS/Azure to GCP, transitioning production platforms in phases with controlled cutovers.
• Design and establish Cloud Foundations/Landing Zones, which encompass resource hierarchy, IAM, Organization Policies, network topology, and security measures codified in Terraform.
• Architect and deploy production Kubernetes environments on GKE, including private clusters, Workload Identity, Helm add-ons, ingress, and Cloud Armor.
• Facilitate DevOps/IaC by importing manually created environments into Terraform, developing reusable modules, setting up GitHub Actions with Workload Identity Federation, and integrating Argo CD.
• Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, overseeing everything from the approved scope and fixed budget through Low-Level Design, implementation, validation, and seamless handover.
• Conduct weekly meetings and workshops with customers.
• Maintain updated project boards and hours, safeguard project scope via change management, identify budget discrepancies early, and ensure handover is completed with comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.
• Lead execution while Customer Engineers manage presales activities.
• Over 5 years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, with extensive production knowledge specifically in Google Cloud.
• Proven experience in production architecture on GCP; not acquiring knowledge on the job.
• Proficiency in Terraform: creating modular reusable code, managing remote state, and importing manually built environments.
• Strong customer-facing English communication skills; capable of conducting workshops, weekly meetings, and handovers with customer engineers and CTOs.
• Experience with Kubernetes/GKE in a production setting: including private clusters, node pools, autoscaling, RBAC, Workload Identity, Helm, and ingress.
• Knowledge of networking and security: VPC design, Cloud NAT/DNS/VPN, Private Service Connect, firewall policies, IAM, Organization Policies, and Secret Manager.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices: GitHub Actions or equivalent with keyless authentication to GCP, container workflows, and GitOps using Argo CD or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure; ability to interpret source environments being migrated.
• Regular use of AI tools with the ability to discern what to accept, reject, and the rationale behind those decisions.
