Cloud Delivery Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of approved, scoped, fixed-budget Google Cloud engagements.

• Develop Low-Level Designs and ensure the clean implementation, validation, and handover of solutions.

• Perform AWS/Azure-to-GCP production migrations in phases with controlled cutovers, covering EKS to GKE, RDS to Cloud SQL, and S3 to Cloud Storage.

• Architect and deploy Cloud Foundations/Landing Zones featuring resource hierarchy, IAM, Organization Policies, network topology, and security controls, all codified in Terraform.

• Create and deploy Kubernetes platforms on GKE, incorporating private clusters, Workload Identity, Helm add-ons, ingress, and Cloud Armor.

• Facilitate DevOps and infrastructure as code by transitioning hand-built environments into Terraform and developing reusable modules.

• Implement GitHub Actions with Workload Identity Federation and Argo CD.

• Manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.

• Conduct weekly customer meetings, maintain up-to-date boards and hours, safeguard scope through change management, identify budget deviations promptly, and finalize handover with documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.

• Take ownership of execution while Customer Engineers handle presales.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior / Architect level with over 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure.

• Extensive production experience specifically on Google Cloud; not learning on the job.

• Expertise in Terraform, including modular reusable code, remote state management, and importing hand-built environments.

• Proficient in customer-facing English for workshops, weekly meetings, and handovers with customer engineers and CTOs.

• Production experience with Kubernetes / GKE, including private clusters, node pools, autoscaling, RBAC, Workload Identity, Helm, and ingress.

• Strong networking and security knowledge, including VPC design, Cloud NAT/DNS/VPN, Private Service Connect, firewall policies, IAM, Organization Policies, and Secret Manager.

• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions or equivalent, keyless authentication to GCP, container workflows, and GitOps with Argo CD or similar tools.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure and the capability to understand source environments being migrated.

• Proficient daily use of AI tools with sound judgment.
