System Architect, m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create innovative concepts for advanced, high-performance IT infrastructures.

• Provide guidance to clients on the technical feasibility of IT infrastructure projects.

• Design solution architectures for IT initiatives and processes.

• Collaborate with specialized departments and Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM).

• Counsel clients on technology solutions.

• Assist infrastructure initiatives from the planning stage through to implementation.

• Oversee the IT security evaluation of architectures and IT solutions.

• Aid clients with inquiries regarding security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity.

• Collect requirements, analyze potential use cases, and evaluate technical feasibility.

• Create highly secure, high-performance platforms to facilitate the digitalization of public administration services.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or vocational training in an IT-related discipline.

• Several years of experience in the role of IT Architect or a similar position.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies.

• Experience in implementing services within heterogeneous infrastructures.

• Initial exposure to cloud infrastructures, preferably private cloud or a similar environment.

• An independent and structured approach to work.

• A customer-centric attitude.

• Familiarity with documentation that meets BSI standards and IT regulations.

• Proficiency in German.

• Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer.

• Knowledge of Linux systems, especially SUSE Linux Enterprise and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.

• Experience with cloud technologies, especially private cloud or AWS.

• Familiarity with MS-SQL, Oracle, and MariaDB/MySQL.

• Knowledge of load balancers, such as Radware Alteon.

• Understanding of middleware technologies, such as Apache, Tomcat, IIS, and JBoss.

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with network components, including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers.

• Experience with backup solutions and strategies.
