Cloud Delivery Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Execute migrations from AWS/Azure to GCP, transitioning production platforms in phases with controlled cutovers.

• Design and establish Google Cloud Foundations/Landing Zones, encompassing resource hierarchy, IAM, Organization Policies, network topology, and security controls implemented through Terraform.

• Create and deploy Kubernetes platforms on GKE, featuring private clusters, Workload Identity, Helm add-ons, ingress, and Cloud Armor.

• Facilitate DevOps and infrastructure as code by integrating custom-built environments into Terraform and developing reusable modules.

• Implement GitHub Actions with Workload Identity Federation and adopt GitOps practices utilizing Argo CD.

• Manage approved, scoped, fixed-budget engagements from start to finish, including low-level design, implementation, verification, and seamless handover.

• Oversee multiple engagements concurrently and lead weekly client meetings.

• Maintain current boards and hours, safeguard scope through change management, promptly identify budget deviations, and finalize handovers with documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer.

• Take charge of execution while Customer Engineers handle presales.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior / Architect level with over 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure.

• Extensive, hands-on production architecture experience specifically on Google Cloud.

• Proficient in Terraform, including modular reusable code, remote state management, and importing custom-built environments.

• Strong customer-facing English skills for conducting workshops, weekly meetings, and handovers with customer engineers and CTOs.

• Experience with production Kubernetes / GKE, including private clusters, node pools, autoscaling, RBAC, Workload Identity, Helm, and ingress.

• Expertise in networking and security, covering VPC design, Cloud NAT/DNS/VPN, Private Service Connect, firewall policies, IAM, Organization Policies, and Secret Manager.

• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar, including keyless authentication to GCP, container workflows, and GitOps with Argo CD or comparable tools.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure, along with the ability to understand source environments undergoing migration.

• Proficient daily usage of AI tools with sound judgment regarding acceptance, rejection, and reasoning behind decisions.
