Cloud Database Infrastructure Engineer – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop a cloud-based database platform utilizing public cloud resources.

• Contribute to the in-house Kubernetes operator for efficient infrastructure management.

• Enhance the metrics pipeline and create systems that produce improved statistics and recommendations.

• Collaborate with the ClickHouse core development team and various data plane teams on infrastructure use cases and internal enhancements.

• Design and construct robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of pertinent software development experience in building and managing scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with Go, C++, or Java in production environments.

• Familiarity with PagerDuty for on-call support and troubleshooting production systems.

• Proficiency with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as infrastructure-as-a-service solutions like EC2.

• Experience with data storage, ingestion, and transformation tools such as Spark or Kafka.

• Background in working with distributed systems.

• Capability to address data challenges at scale.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams.
