Cloud Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Regularly evaluate, design, and implement Red Hat's core offerings, such as the OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation, and technologies based on Kubernetes.

• Develop automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions that emphasize networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience.

• Acquire knowledge of new technologies, including container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networking.

• Act as a subject matter expert on-site, addressing various technical, developmental, or strategic IT requirements.

• Oversee the identification of problems, definition of system architecture, software specifications and design, testing, and deployment of intricate open-source solutions.

• Adjust to evolving customer needs.

• Handle incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner.

• Provide timely and quality results within project scope, which includes maintaining project journals, status reports, and standard documentation.

• Engage in sales and proposal presentations as well as ongoing team account activities.

• Collaborate closely with customers on the architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of Red Hat cloud and container solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an MBA is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in Linux system administration, ideally with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a similar distribution.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Kubernetes, AKS, GKS, EKS, Docker, Podman, or other container and PaaS technologies.

• At least 2 years of scripting or programming experience.

• Familiarity with system management, including installation, custom channels, deploying virtualized systems, basic client-based security, repositories, and creating core builds.

• Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Automation Platform, and other Red Hat products is advantageous.

• Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, including Agile (e.g., Scrum), Waterfall, and Incremental methodologies is beneficial.

• An Agile and DevOps mindset is preferred.

• Willingness to study and learn Agile practices.

• Red Hat Certifications are an advantage.

• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

• Exceptional technical skills.

• Strong communication and customer-facing abilities.

• Capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
