Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to clients on adopting cloud and hybrid hosting solutions for Mendix and related services, taking into account cost, performance, and security needs.

• Assist clients with the installation, configuration, operation, oversight, and troubleshooting of Mendix platform deployments.

• Work within Kubernetes environments, including AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Rancher, and OpenShift across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises customer setups.

• Support clients with their existing CI/CD pipelines to implement and enhance Mendix deployments.

• Acquire knowledge of and apply Mendix Cloud Architecture principles along with deployment and integration options.

• Define and articulate highly automated hosting infrastructure from an architectural perspective.

• Implement and resolve issues within highly automated hosting infrastructure from an engineering standpoint.

• Experiment with automation techniques for cloud infrastructure, deployments, and AI-driven infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience.

• Ideally, 2 or more years of experience working with modern cloud infrastructures.

• Profound understanding and hands-on experience in microservices architectures and containerized environments.

• Experience in architecting, building, and managing highly automated and containerized cloud infrastructure.

• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes-based architectures on both public and private cloud platforms.

• Database administration expertise with Postgres, SQLServer, and Oracle.

• Experience with cloud databases and data lakes.

• Skills in authentication using AWS IAM or Azure Entra.

• Networking skills including Ingress, reverse proxies, and enterprise-grade networks.

• Experience with implementation and integration of CI/CD tools such as GIT/SVN, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

• Willingness to travel to client locations regularly.
