Cloud and AI Platform Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

• Foster a culture that embraces change for cloud adoption.

• Design and manage the cloud architecture.

• Enhance and oversee the implementation of the Cloud Strategy.

• Work closely with stakeholders to transition from traditional infrastructure vendors to cloud service providers.

• Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team and other stakeholders to establish governance for both on-premises and cloud infrastructures.

• Partner with architects, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to assess, design, and validate cloud and infrastructure architectures.

• Define and direct the architecture for the enterprise AI platform and ecosystem.

• Set architecture standards and governance frameworks for the ethical adoption of AI.

• Lead initiatives for sustainable cloud and infrastructure cost optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least seven to ten years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven track record in leading and executing the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions.

• Experience in the Healthcare sector and familiarity with the Workers' Compensation industry is advantageous.

• Strong preference for candidates with experience in designing or establishing enterprise AI platforms, AI infrastructure, agent-based architectures, model integration patterns, or AI-enabled application ecosystems.

• Background in Enterprise Architecture or Infrastructure & Operations with direct experience in cloud (Public/Private/Hybrid), virtualization, infrastructure domains, and development.

• Comprehensive understanding of AI platform architecture, AI governance principles, agent gateways, orchestration patterns, model deployment considerations, prompt and context management concepts, API management, event-driven integration, observability, and secure cloud-native design.

• Demonstrated ability to work with project teams in a key role to deliver solutions that meet business needs, adhere to technology standards, service level agreements, and approved funding.

• Experience in identifying and applying effective design patterns, and proficient in leading and facilitating design and modeling workshops with both business and technical teams.

• Must be adaptable to change, able to collaborate closely, and possess conflict resolution skills.

• Preferred candidates will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft, IaaS, PaaS, Linux, Cisco, storage, security, middleware, database management systems, Java, and both public and private cloud environments.

• Preferred experience includes knowledge of cloud AI services, enterprise integration platforms, API gateways, service mesh concepts, infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps practices, identity and access management, secrets management, data protection controls, and platform observability.
