Closing Operations Specialist – Broker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +22 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary liaison for external mortgage brokers, settlement agents, and internal account executives.

• Address late-stage closing challenges and ensure closings proceed smoothly.

• Reconcile final loan documents and settlement statements with title companies, escrow officers, or settlement agents.

• Detect and resolve discrepancies prior to the finalization and execution of documents.

• Provide loan status updates and outstanding closing requirements to wholesale lending brokers.

• Assist borrowers in navigating closing documents and respond to their inquiries.

• Enable remote online notarization.

• Conduct quality assurance reviews on closing documents.

• Collaborate with internal teams and settlement partners to coordinate necessary corrections.

• Dispatch reviewed documents to borrowers and discuss them as required.

• Monitor outstanding items and facilitate post-closing tasks in preparation for loan servicing.

• Manage competing priorities to ensure accurate and timely closings.

• Provide constructive feedback on systems, technology, and workflows.

• Share best practices and insights across origination and closing teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of loan closing experience in the housing market; experience with manufactured housing is a plus.

• Background in supporting mortgage brokers or wholesale lending transactions.

• Experience coordinating with title companies, escrow officers, or settlement agents.

• Capability to review and balance final loan documents and settlement statements.

• Ability to identify discrepancies and facilitate timely resolutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and process-driven.

• Flexible work schedule, including availability after hours and on weekends as required.

• Proficient in managing multiple closings and competing priorities.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.

• Possess an undergraduate degree or have extensive relevant work experience.

• Must reside in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Wisconsin.
