This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.
• Serve as the primary liaison with customs authorities, courier services, and carriers for various issues and negotiations.
• Keep informed about updates in import and export laws/regulations.
• Categorize goods in accordance with the tariff coding system.
• Oversee, monitor, maintain, and evaluate (Quality Control) all import/export documentation and information.
• Organize the dispatch, storage, and delivery of goods.
• Collect and analyze current shipment data to produce reports.
• Track the validity and renewals of export/import licenses.
• Assist with operational challenges related to customs clearance or shipment delivery.
• Collaborate with designated study vendors and other departments within PSI, as required.
• Proficient in both English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree from a college/university; relevant fields such as commerce, trade, or international trade are preferred.
• Experience as a broker/customs specialist.
• Required experience with Import/Export operations within other CROs/pharmaceutical companies in Chile; experience with other countries is beneficial.
• Familiarity with the import/export operational process and necessary documentation.
• Strong understanding of international customs regulations, import/export laws, and tariff coding systems.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to plan and function effectively in a dynamic team setting.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle complex operational challenges.
