Clinical Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Support the creation and adaptation of computer-assisted coding technology for the healthcare sector in Canada.

• Collaborate closely with the product development team, clinical specialists, and customer engagement personnel to tailor Solventum 360 Encompass to the Canadian coding standards (ICD-10-CA/CCI).

• Provide expert guidance in the development and localization of computer-assisted coding (CAC) specifically for the Canadian market.

• Utilize database software to generate codes for auto-suggestion purposes.

• Validate auto-suggestion codes using Solventum 360 Encompass.

• Analyze clinical terminology and incorporate insights into software development.

• Conduct mapping activities from concept to code.

• Generate new diagnosis and procedural codes for auto-suggestion.

• Revise existing diagnosis and procedural codes for auto-suggestion.

• Review and adjust coding actions based on client feedback and classification updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• CHIMA - Health Information Management Certification.

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in health management.

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience with DAD and NACRS coding in a private, public, government, or military setting.

• High School Diploma/GED combined with eight (8) years of DAD and NACRS coding experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

• Familiarity with ICD-10-CA & CCI and Canadian Coding standards within the context of a Canadian Acute Care hospital.

• Strong comprehension of documentation processes in leading electronic medical record systems utilized in Canada (EPIC, Cerner, Medtech).

• Capability to adhere to established processes, rules, and conventions.

• Ability to meet deadlines for inclusion in relevant product releases.

• Excellent written communication skills.
