This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the main point of contact for Clinical Supply Chain for Clinical Operations and Allogene’s 3PL providers concerning shipment inquiries, issue escalation, and delivery coordination.
• Oversee the complete clinical shipment process from order intake to scheduling, execution, tracking, and confirming successful delivery to clinical sites.
• Coordinate the transport of materials from depots to clinical sites to guarantee timely and complete delivery of clinical materials.
• Keep track of critical shipments throughout all stages of transport and proactively address shipment-related issues with couriers, customs brokers, depots, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that all necessary shipment documentation, forms, and study-specific records are completed accurately, made available to the relevant parties, and filed properly.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Clinical Supply Chain metrics to enhance visibility and performance.
• Help create and execute packaging plans for finished goods, including transactional steps and ERP-related activities tied to material release and readiness.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations and Transportation & Logistics to sustain effective communication regarding shipments for Allogene’s ongoing studies.
• Aid in the investigation and management of shipment deviations, temperature excursions, delayed deliveries, and product complaints in conjunction with Quality Assurance and other cross-functional teams.
• Identify and apply continuous improvement opportunities related to shipment execution, packaging workflows, documentation, and logistics processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is required; certification in logistics, planning, or APICS/CPIM is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in clinical supply chain, logistics, distribution, or planning within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy is advantageous.
• Proven experience in coordinating both domestic and international clinical shipments, including cold chain logistics and shipment tracking across various partners.
• Knowledge of clinical supply chain operations, finished goods distribution, packaging and labeling workflows, and study-level shipment execution.
• Proficient in ERP systems like SAP, with a solid understanding of inventory, order, and shipment-related transactions and documentation.
• Experience in effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, including Clinical Operations, Quality, Supply Planning, and external service providers.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple shipment requests, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results within set timelines.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• A demonstrated mindset of continuous improvement and a keen interest in developing scalable processes, shipment metrics, and operational tools.
• Self-motivated and able to operate independently with a high level of ownership in a fast-paced environment.
