This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Manage a small caseload involving home study and post-release services as necessary.
• Ensure that staff adhere to US and ORR policies, procedures, and mandated timelines.
• Oversee staff who provide home study and post-release services, as well as the department handling Home Study and PRS Level III cases.
• Collect and consistently report on the progress of expected outcomes and implement strategies for improvement.
• Assess, identify, verify, and offer recommendations regarding areas that require additional support, resources, or information to meet a child's needs and ensure a safe environment.
• Provide guidance on trauma-informed crisis intervention strategies and services as needed, or connect families to services to guarantee a child's safety and well-being in times of crisis.
• Review recommendations made by staff concerning the sponsor's capability to provide suitable care and a safe living environment for the child, ensuring that assessments and screenings for human trafficking concerns are conducted regularly.
• Assist in coordinating and scheduling interviews, home visits, managing caseloads, and staff travel.
• Maintain proper documentation, safeguard confidential records, and protect personally identifiable information in accordance with program regulations.
• Report concerns related to children and sponsors, life-altering events, and significant incidents to the program and ORR.
• Function as a mandated reporter by reporting abuse/neglect to child protective services and law enforcement as required by the state in which services are provided.
• Engage in training, meetings, and uphold quality improvement initiatives as recommended.
• This position requires travel to deliver services and conduct meetings with staff in various surrounding areas across the U.S.
• A Master of Social Work (MSW) or an equivalent degree in psychology, sociology, or other fields of behavioral science.
• Two years of post-graduate direct service experience, or a bachelor's degree in one of the aforementioned sciences combined with six years of clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences.
• Prior supervisory experience is necessary, and candidates must be licensed to provide clinical supervision.
• Familiarity with family preservation, kinship care, trauma-informed care, child welfare policies and procedures, as well as relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
• Experience in conducting Home Studies, providing Post Release Services, and working with immigrant populations.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with families, caseworkers, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• A valid driver's license and availability to travel for in-person visits and to various regions nationally.
