This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +5 more states.
β’ Prepare and oversee budgets for sponsored clinical trials.
β’ Conduct comparative reviews of budgets proposed by study sponsors.
β’ Establish payment milestones and Billing Instructions grids using Velos and/or Microsoft Excel.
β’ Evaluate New Study routing forms and critical study start-up documents.
β’ Analyze detailed costs and convert clinical protocols into budget milestones.
β’ Provide descriptions of patient costs for informed consent forms submitted to the IRB.
β’ Revise budgets, milestones, and ICF information in response to contract or protocol amendments.
β’ Create and modify study budgets while incorporating internal costs during the setup of new studies.
β’ Utilize and manage research rate pricing for clinical trial services at Providence Health & Services.
β’ Collaborate with Contracts Analysts to incorporate budget details into clinical trial agreements.
β’ Initiate or take part in contract negotiations.
β’ Start or update coverage determinations and communicate the study billing structures.
β’ Aid in study-subject billing administration and audit billing records.
β’ Maintain comprehensive records and statistics on expenses and payments.
β’ Ensure compliance of clinical expenses with budgets, billing plans, and agreements.
β’ Work closely with research departments, hospital teams, other institutions, contract analysts, regulatory teams, program managers, and internal finance groups.
β’ Support physician investigators and create internal cost analyses for investigator-initiated trials.
β’ Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience.
β’ 6 years of direct experience in budget development, ideally in a clinical trial or medical environment.
β’ Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration.
β’ Preferred: 4 years of experience in research grants administration.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, particularly Excel.
β’ Familiarity with the Clinical Trial Management System (Velos).
β’ Ability to interpret clinical study protocols and formulate budgets.
β’ Capability to manage high-volume workflows across multiple research programs.
