This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for executing daily departmental responsibilities and completing all processes related to screening incoming pharmacy review requests.
• Prepare review materials and information for allocation to the suitable reviewers.
• Input pharmacy case review data into the online case summary and tracking system.
• Receive and evaluate Reviewer decisions.
• Conduct outreach via phone to collect additional information for cases.
• Handle inbound calls from medical professionals.
• Provide accurate, timely review outcome notifications and complete pharmacy case review data in both the online case summary/tracking system and the client system.
• Conclude the pharmacy case review process and communicate review outcome notifications to the relevant parties involved in the case.
• Act as a liaison for the company with clients, reviewers, and practitioners/providers/facilities whose services are undergoing review.
• A minimum of one year of pharmacy experience is preferred.
• At least one year in a comparable operation is preferred (in health insurance, healthcare, and/or managed care).
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-functioning environment while meeting deadlines and managing multiple high-priority tasks.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
• High level of adaptability, demonstrated by the capacity to excel in dynamic environments and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in personal computer use and a strong command of Microsoft Word.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Well-developed training capabilities.
• Solid understanding of basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical insurance terminology and processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with prescription drug terminology is preferred.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills along with a strong focus on detail.
• Outstanding customer service abilities.
• Thorough comprehension of the company's clients, products, departments, workflows, and the applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
