This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Act as a key contact for patients, families, pharmacists, clients, and healthcare professionals concerning medication-related issues and pharmacotherapy requirements.
• Clarify care plan alternatives and medication usage, including side effects and contraindications.
• Record patient care decisions, actions, coding, and billing through proprietary software.
• Develop, implement, and uphold procedures for medication assessment, compounding, packaging, labeling, security, and disposal.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians to ensure medication reconciliation, physician order entry, inventory oversight, storage, security, labeling, packaging, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Review, prepare, compound, and grant final approval for prescription orders and dispensed medications.
• Confirm the accuracy of drug, dosage, directions, quantity, refills, packaging, labeling, warnings, patient profiles, and patient delivery.
• Ensure compliant billing and documentation for dispensed and shipped medications.
• Deliver pharmaceutical care, evaluate medication requests and refills, and provide recommendations to care providers.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse criteria, and internal guidelines.
• Identify and address quality assurance concerns, HIPAA infringements, and other violations related to Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
• Valid and active pharmacy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Must be registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy distribution and packaging.
• Familiarity with geriatrics and/or chronic care management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong technical and computer skills for proprietary and other pharmacy software.
• Understanding of state and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse protocols.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, project-management, organizational, and clinical judgment capabilities.
• Ability to identify and resolve medication-related issues.
• Capability to assess patients using verbal and/or visual cues when appropriate.
• Competence to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and uphold quality standards.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in this country.
• Willingness to participate in a rotating holiday schedule.
