This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver treatment services as part of a vibrant multidisciplinary team in alignment with the Discovery Clinical Model.
• Ensure patient safety while implementing milieu interventions.
• Lead psychoeducational and process-focused therapy groups.
• Conduct clinical assessments and facilitate therapy sessions.
• Complete clinical documentation promptly during service delivery.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families/loved ones.
• Oversee admission assessments and manage the admission process.
• Engage in weekly treatment team meetings to discuss and communicate treatment objectives.
• Manage a caseload of 5–6 patients in Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and 10–15 in Outpatient (OP) care.
• Conduct assigned therapy sessions, including those involving family/support systems.
• Facilitate both process-oriented and psychoeducational group sessions.
• Participate in at least one meal or snack time each week.
• Lead multi-family groups, family programs, and/or family weekends.
• Provide utilization reviews to insurance providers for initial and ongoing stay authorization.
• Respond to family inquiries via calls and emails within designated timeframes.
• Evaluate patients for suicidality and potential harm to themselves or others.
• Offer clinical support to fellow team members as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and payment processes.
• Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission.
• Conduct discharge sessions to ensure understanding of coping skills, transition plans, and available resources.
• Confirm discharge appointments with patients and their loved ones.
• Communicate with referral sources and outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage transfers to higher levels of care as required.
• Participate in clinical outreach activities and program tours.
• Handle crises during sessions and within the milieu.
• Support milieu staff in their interactions with patients and families.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and milieu staff to maintain clinical quality.
• Provide monthly on-call facility support for RTC roles and respond to program calls within 20 minutes while on duty.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• Completion of state-mandated requirements for conducting therapeutic interventions is essential.
• Operates under supervision and is not fully licensed.
• Must possess a current driver's license in good standing.
